Mother’s Day is Just Around the Corner!

Mother’s Day used to be a day that I would ignore.

My own mother was never very close to me. She drank a lot with her boyfriend, always riding the waves of being extremely intoxicated then hungover. Up and down she went, as far back as I can remember.

But these days, Mother’s Day has taken on new meaning.

What is your favorite holiday? Why is it your favorite?

Not because of anything my mother did. I have forgiven her and have detached contact with her these days.

Mother’s Day has significance to me now because I became a mother.

💎

I can appreciate the hard work that all Mothers go through, from carrying a child in our bodies (the most difficult thing I’ve ever done!) to caring for a newborn and beyond.

And I LOVE being a mom 💎

God has blessed me with a child that is healthy in every way. This is something that I thank God for every day.

And my child is also curious, loving, social, and… SO FUNNY! Even when he was very small, he always did things to make me laugh!

My favorite was when he was real little, and he would pretend that his leg went over the pant leg by accident x-] He’d go, “Whoa!” and giggle uncontrollably 😀

I could go on and on, but let’s just say… Mother’s Day is very special to me now.

Being a mom to my little guy is one of the biggest blessings in my life.

Take care,
Dear Quiet

Mother’s Day was always a special day when my mum was alive but since she passed it’s not the same my daughters have never been big into Mother’s Day and now that two of my grandchildren are adults less so, my eldest has more of an interest in it.
