If you’re not having a good day, usually, you can stop and restart. I was just feeling guilty that it was 9:30am, and I hadn’t eaten a good breakfast (again) and I let the laundry sit in the hamper (again), but then I thought…
Let’s start this day again. Let’s reset.
9:30am doesn’t sound all that late, unless you’re like me and your kid wakes you up at 5am. Then I get to thinking, “I’ve been awake for almost 5 hours… and have done nothing.”
Pause. Stop. Redirect. Reboot.

And so now I’m having a good breakfast, finishing up my last coffee of the day, and the clothes are happily spinning round and round in the washer.
And I feel much better.
I feel like I saved the day. Sometimes I do this at 1pm or 5pm (you know, on those hard days), and it still works.
So, if you’re scrolling too much, or feeling lazy, or just not productive… it’s okay. You can start again at any time.
Any day. Any year. Any age.
Take care,
Dear Quiet
