The world is a snowy wonderland :-] We’re warm in the shelter of our home, thanks to God. I’m not sure if we’re going to preschool today ~ I’ll have to finish my coffee and see.
If we do go, I might take a different route. There’s a road with a much slower speed limit and lots of stop signs, as opposed to the one we usually take. The speed limit is 35 MPH, but people pass us going up to 50… only to meet you side by side at the light.
It’s always interesting when that happens. [Hi there! I’m the person you almost clipped back there. Glad to see us here together at the traffic light.]
Haha This isn’t about lacking optimism, I’m just being practical. Oh, this morning, I read a few verses on my devotional that I’d like to share with you. I thought they fit very well with my goal to be radically optimistic.

I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13). God’s grace is sufficient for me (2 Corinthians 12:9). And I am more than a conqueror through Christ because He loves me (Romans 8:37).
I’ve actually never noticed that last verse, because I love Romans 8:38-39 so much.
Like my husband says, Philippians 4:13 is not about winning the Super Bowl. It’s about being able to do hard things with Christ, who provides us the strength to get through this life (which is sometimes difficult).
Going with my optimism goal, I can say, “Today is going to be a good day. And it’s okay if there are hard parts ~ Jesus can help me through those!”
And God’s grace is sufficient for me today. What else could I need? God loves me, and I can do this (whatever “this” ends up being today).
Is it cold where you are? I hope you’re staying warm.
Take care,
Dear Quiet
